I started with a bassline played on an acoustic
guitar, then turned it down -12 semitones digitally.
When I got the whole instrumental part figured out, I
made it available for public download. I got no ideia
what to write about.
A bunch of people came up with very different ideas,
most of them pretty good. But, since I didn’t have
any proper ‘love love love song’ yet, Idid stick with
one chorus that a friend of mine, Bruna, sent me. She
said that in her head that melody and those words fit
perfectly and she could not stop humming it. So I
wrote the whole track around it. In terms of lyrics,
this is by far the simplest song that I’ver done.
Still, my vocals wouldn’t fit quite right, so i
started to sing it a little bit lower and asked Oliva
to record some parts of it, which was also something
that I’ve never done before.
