about

It is very common for me to attribute way more
significance into something that, honestly, isn't really
that meaningful, especially when it comes to
relationships. So I took this weird behaviour of mine
into an extreme and wrote perhaps the only love song
that I ever did. Though it is a bit silly, I really love
the piano loops on this one. Like most of the tracks on
the record, this one also started by accident, the piano
sample being a leftover found on a session that I had (I
think it's Ravel). I tried to use little to no drums on
the first part, just wanted to have a huge space for the
soundscapes and the voice.
When it was nearly done, an old roommate of mine invited
this dude to hang out at our place, and he had a flute
with him. We started to talk a little bit and then I
mentioned that I was working on this track. He listened
to it and immediately started playing the flute, which
is one of my favourite moments on the record.

lyrics

There's no trying to figure out what happened to us
I know, that I should have been much closer
I tried my best but my best wasn't good enough
Brutally harmful for me, I trusted you and
When I was lost, you were gone

What happened to us?
What happened to us?
What happened to us?
What happened to us?
What happened to us?
What happened to us?

My fault
Your fault
His fault
Her fault
Our fault
My love
