about

Just as in ‘easy’, ‘exhausted’ was one of the songs
that I reworked quite a few times. It was intended to go
to another record that I’ve been working on for the past
3 years with one of my teachers, but we could never
really fit it in with the other tracks. I recorded it in
between apartments, since I was moving quite a lot when
I first got to Lisbon. At the time, basically everything
was making me upset, and the daily routine with another
person was not helping at all, given that we were in
completely opposite states of mind regarding, well, life
itself. It’s basically about feeling lost within
yourself but relieved that you can comfortably say that
you’re tired of being around someone.

lyrics

All day I crave it
But there is no safe amount of alcohool
That can make me feel better when I have
A self imposed restraining order for my head

No place where I can sit mute with astonishment
And there is no reason for the reasoning on my mind
To be a force that drives me away
From those sights

How long has it been since I last tasted any victories?
Then you crawl into our bed by the end of the night
Into my ears you whisper
"Im feeling exhausted"

Im feeling exhausted
You're feeling exhausted?
And guess what?

So am I
So am I
So am I
So am I

All day I crave it
But there is no safe amount of alcohol
That can make me feel better when I have
A self imposed restraining order for my head

So am I
So am I
So am I
So am I
